Stocks in Play is a daily newsletter on catalyst-driven swing trading. Each issue covers the stocks that are in play that day and the reasoning behind them: the catalyst, the technical setup, the risk, and how the position would be managed.

The newsletter is written for traders who care about process. Most of the work in a trade is not the entry. It is knowing when to trim, when to hold, and when the trade is finished, and that is where most of the attention goes.

What it covers

The focus is episodic pivots, earnings reactions, and catalyst-driven moves in biotech, small-cap, and thematic momentum names. Trades are framed through a consistent methodology rather than gut feel, including the Sprinters and Distance Runners framework I use to separate short-duration setups from longer trend positions, and a rule-based system for managing exits.

About the author

I trade catalysts systematically and write the newsletter the same way, with the reasoning kept in plain view. I am currently competing in the USIC 2026 trading competition. The intention is to build Stocks in Play on a documented record rather than after-the-fact screenshots.
