The Week Ahead

Not much on the earnings front this week. MU is the biggest name to report. Important on the AI front but very extended so not interesting to trade. FLY interests me as a recent IPO reporting Monday evening. PCE on Friday morning at 8:30amis the biggest economic event. This may cause volatility.

Analyst Meetings:

Monday : LUMN

Wednesday : GH

Thursday: OKTA, PSTG

We look to be on the precipice of a potential melt up here. Professional Investors are screaming Bubble on X and the volume has gotten much louder in the past few days. This sentiment is worth noting but I believe we still have plenty of inflation time left.

We had a strong close to the week and the QQQ pinged right off $600. I think a short term pullback is overdue but momentum seems to be in favor of an overshoot to the upside in the short term. A lot of names had B/Os on Friday. It was a rebalancing ‘Triple Witching’ Day. These days can create strange moves that sometimes don’t follow through so Monday and Tuesday will be interesting.

I think a lot of people will be trying to short here and I think that is a mistake. We are gearing up in a speculative market. The main goals should be to stick to your process. Identify themes and do not get sloppy. The market will make you feel like a genius in these times but you have a serious tailwind. Keep focus and stay disciplined so you don’t give it back when the wind turns.

Theme Watch

Lots of speculative themes at the moment. Strong breakouts on Friday in many areas. Always a note of caution on Rebalancing and Option Expiry dates on stock moves, lets see what holds up next week. Story stocks are currently where it is at. The more speculative the better.
