The Week Ahead

Regular week incoming in the markets. We have a few Macro events ISM Monday at 10am EST, Powell will also speak at 1pm Eastern on Monday. There are a couple of nice earnings coming up but nothing too crazy. CRWD and AVGO are the most high profile but LULU, RBRK, and MDB are interesting to me. Full highlights below. From the weekend news I’m quite interested in Drone Stocks this week after the Ukraine Operation in Russia. I think they may be in theme. Full Watchlist here.

Now that earnings season is over we have conference season in full force. Jeffries Global Healthcare, Bank of America Global Technology and Baird Global Consumer Tech & Services being the main ones that I’m looking at. It’s always worth knowing who is doing the Keynote’s and Fireside chats at these conferences. ChatGPT can usually tell you.

My look ahead at the market is cautious but bullish. Friday was volatile but the final day of the month can be that way. I pointed this out in the newsletter. I have a reminder in a calendar for every final trading day of the month and quarter. They are worth noting. They are often strange trading days.

I expect us to continue to chop in this range for a while more but won’t be surprised if there is some wide ranging volatility due to Tariff noise in the next few weeks. We’ve run super hard so this sort of price action is to be expected regardless of the reasoning.

Watching the VIX for any notable spikes but concentrating on the individual names and catalysts.

I’ve removed the Top Picks feature as my process has changed. Instead I am listing the stocks highlighted in this newsletter in a watchlist so that I can easily go through them for delayed reactions. I find this method to be much better and allows me to look at price action vs. being committed to a catalyst. This newsletter will ALWAYS be a diary of my own process so this change makes sense going forward.
