The Week Ahead

The weekend chatter after the short week is already back to Tariffs. We are hearing about letters going out to Countries. I’m guessing that will be a major macro narrative this week and probably for the next few weeks. It may cause some market volatility.

Not a lot in earnings this week. Next week we see the season properly kick off with the banks. AEHR seems like a potential highlight to me. Amazon Prime Day is taking place 8-11 July also, potentially putting AMZN stock in play next week. TSLA is a top short watch for me tomorrow early with Elon wading back into politics announcing he’s forming a new party. All of this stuff isn’t exactly seismic or surprising but should create some cool headlines all the same.

There are treasury auctions on Wednesday that will likely be in focus and we also have FOMC Minutes on the same day at 2pm EST. These will also likely be volatility inducing events.

Overall we are getting to a point of when, not if the market will pullback but themes are flying particularly crypto related. I am concentrating on the individual names and story stocks until earnings season properly begins. Those are the only game in town until then.
