The Week Ahead

An unpleasant but not unexpected close to last week makes the coming week super interesting. The Indices are rolling over, however many trading stocks have already had sustained pullbacks. Another massive Earnings week coming. A lot of retail favorites reporting this week along with some of the major institutional names.

It has been pretty quiet this weekend. I’m hoping for a gap down Monday and that getting bought up. If we gap up I’ll be more wary of a fade.

Expectations are super high on names like PLTR, HIMS, UBER etc. I think the market will be happy to punish these names on any underwhelming reports. How they react to earnings will give some good clues of where we are at. Looking to see a few break out reports in this packed earnings week and we might see some new names take the lead.

On a macro front it’s pretty quiet this week, ISM Services PMI Tuesday at 10:00am EST and Jobless Claims Thursday at 08:30am EST.

Keep an eye on FLY - Firefly Aerospace IPO on Thursday. They make Rockets for Satellite Launch’s and are a SpaceX competitor. This could reignite (pardon the pun) the Space Race theme.
