Week Overview
Market Setup: Difficult environment. Strong bounce on Friday. Remains to be seen whether it’s sustained. Likely 3 to 5 day move. My market monitor still showing negative
Key Themes: Basic Materials, Energy, Dow Jones, AI Infra
Boring Names - Energy, Basic Materials, Consumer Defensive (DIA/RSP Names)
Story Stocks are Broken - Pre Rev Story Stocks likely to be avoided for now. Focus on companies with strong earnings, profitability (boring names). Growth stocks still in jail also for the most part.
Focus Areas: Lot’s more earnings this week. That is my focus. Focusing on strong charts. Less interested in speculative story stocks for now. Monitoring VIX for any failure in the rally. Cautiously Bullish for the week.
Current Positions: MAXN, VG, INNV, ROIV, MPC, INTC, GLW

Biotech Catalysts
Watching This Week:
AVBP, RCUS, KPTI, TBPH, NMRA, MLTX, ARQT, CADL, TARA
Chart Assessment: Based on charts that look promising and with Data expected in the near future.
Note: Never front-run biotech catalysts. Wait for the catalyst to hit, then assess if the reaction is tradable. Dates are estimates and can shift.

Theme Watch
YTD Sector Strength: Strength in Oil and Gas and AI Infrastructure.

Emerging Themes:
Market Bounce last week. Lot’s of names bouncing. Remains to be seen as to whether that follows through. Slower names still have the best charts, O&G, AI Infrastructure, Basic Materials, Energy.
Software Bottom bounce. Strong moves in certain names after earnings but charts broken for my style.
Story stocks are still truly broken. The Pre Rev stuff. Focus on companies with strong earnings, FCF and turnaround. Dow Jones names.
Delayed Reaction Watchlist:
Monitoring:
ENPH - delayed reaction after earnings
USAR - Theme
LLY - GLP-1 Theme (HIMS Failure)
EGHT - Earnings Continuation
Have a Great Week!

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
