The Week Ahead : 8th - 12th December 2025

Highlights: AI Narrative, FED Decisions and Data Centers in SPACE

The Week Ahead

I think this week may be the ignition moment for the market into the new year. We’ve been pretty strong overall the last week or so on individual names. Speculative names also saw some action last week. IWM is trying to breakout of a 5 year base. The FED Meeting is almost certainly going to be a cut. The commentary will be important to the market looking forward. I presume we will also get the announcement for the new FED Chair this week too. The FED will be the narrative of the week but we also have Open AI launching a new model and AVGO, ORCL earnings which will be important for tech.

On the macro front we have US JOLTS Tuesday @ 10am EST, FOMC Decision Wednesday @ 2pm EST and US PPI on Thursday @ 8:30am EST. Right now individual names are acting well so I will be proceeding with those and not getting too caught up in Macro but you always have to be aware of it.

AI will be at the forefront of the news cycle this week with Open AI launching a new Model. Obviously the big comparison will be with GOOG Gemini and thus the TPU - GPU debate. Anthropic also signed a deal over the weekend to buy $50b worth of TPUs from GOOG. This also ties into AVGO which produces these for GOOG. They have earnings After the close Thursday. ORCL on Wednesday evening will also be market moving.

Several other interesting earnings this week. I’ve highlighted below. I’m particularly interested in PL. They are a beneficiary of Data Centers in Space which Sam Altman mentioned this week and I’ve read about before. This could be an emerging sub-theme.

Conferences this week - Barclays Technology, Goldman Financial Services.

Biotech - I’ve added a new section of stocks that are expected* to have Biotech catalysts this week with good charts. I’m taking this data from BPIQ. This is a new process update for me. Biotech data readouts are always estimates but if it proves to be reasonably accurate on timing then for me it’s a benefit to go through the relevant charts in advance and highlight just like I do with earnings. It’s essentially an added efficiency in my daily routine and familiarity with the stocks in question. This weeks list is below.

Biotechs - CGON,RAPP,FULC,BEAM,GLPG,IRON,BLRX,AMLX,MOLN,ELVN

Please note: I would NEVER try to front run an anticipated Biotech catalyst. I’m always waiting for it to hit then deciding if the reaction is tradable.

The last thing I want to mention this week is that I’m always interested in hearing from people who are putting in a lot of work themselves and would like to discuss ideas in the mornings or get some feedback whether by DM, Discord or Email. So always feel free to reach out.

Theme Watch

Discount Retailers & Retail were very strong this week. This was something we identified BEFORE it was obvious and that is the name of the game. Speculative names had some great follow through especially Robotics which got a boost from media reports of Executive Orders supporting the industry coming in the new year. Finally my mention above of Data Centers in Space can be seen above where it out performed. I’ve created a new watchlist for this. It overlaps a lot with Space Travel lists but these would be the beneficiaries.

Sources & Services I Use in my Trading:

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
