Sources & Services I Use in my Trading:
StockAnalysis.com - I’ve been using Stock Analysis as a super cheap but reliable method of looking at New and Upcoming IPOs, Earnings Calendars and most notably KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Stock Analysis allows you to view the KPIs for many companies with up to date metrics and segments that you can cross reference against Earnings Results. This is incredibly important when understanding what metrics move a stock. At $65 per year it’s a no brainer. They’ve given me a discount code if you use IRISHBORNINVESTOR they will give you another 10% Off.
Week Overview
Market Setup: Indices Choppy/Negative. Individual Catalysts and Stocks holding up well.
Key Themes: The narrative will likely be taken over by the Iran War this week. Earnings in Software/Tech. Nvidia
Focus Areas: The natural reaction by people this weekend is fear but generally the market tends to be buoyant on the back of these military incursions. It seems like the US once again went in and eliminated the threat quickly. Unless something more sinister or damaging happens that effects the global economy then I think the market shrugs this off pretty quickly.
There are some reasonably important earnings this week and some decent charts. Some tech names reporting like MDB and CRWD will be important. AVGO will also be important within the TPU narrative for NVDA and GOOG. There are plenty of smaller O&G names reporting also which could definitely make moves with the Iran backdrop. There are some market moving Macro Events this week. Posted below.
Market closed the week in a negative manner. I remain cautious but am conscious that my individual positions have performed relatively well in February. This is a big week where people will get sucked into media narratives. Focus on the individual names. Forget the noise.

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
