Market Condition: Market Bounce Zone

Commentary: Interesting market moment. we’re heading into a major earnings week with a lot of the big tech hitters reporting. The market (QQQ) is sitting right on $700 Support Level. We’re more than capable of starting another leg down here but certain areas like Enterprise Software are showing some strength. So a bounce is possible and individual names turning in places. I have no expectations into this week except for sitting watching and waiting. Cash is King here for us.

Personally think it’ll be down to macro now. If they go hard back into Iran we probably get some exhaustion selling kicking in before a strong rally. We’ve also got the mid-terms coming up now which might change the landscape also. Creating executive deadlock in US Government which generally speaking the markets prefer. I’m not going to analyze it but I am going to be cognizant of the timing of a turn. FED Rate Decision on Wednesday adds more uncertainty at the beginning of the week. Expect chop until Wednesday or Thursday at least.

Huge earnings this week. No charts that I’m very excited about but some with potential. Mostly though we are beholden to MSFT, SKHY, GOOG, AMZN, INTC etc. I expect CAPEX and commentary will be the main watches with these. So far earnings moves in tech have faded badly. Some Medtech and Oil names look the best and I will keep an open mind for potential movers outside of Tech. I’ve gone through every chart this weekend and highlighted the ones below that have some* potential.

We have a couple of Biotech conferences this week also and over the weekend so hopefully we might see a couple of catalysts come out of that which would be disconnected from the market.
