Situational Awareness
Market Condition: All Time Highs/Choppy/Earnings Season
Commentary: This tough market continues. Last week saw hope with several nice breakouts only for most of them to die back into the range.
Brazil Theme was probably the cleanest mover of the week with XP and PBR giving nice moves. In the main though it’s a difficult environment.
Nothing of note over the weekend in terms of news apart from the Russia Energy Ceasefire which doesn’t seem like it’s particularly real or meaningful to us trading catalysts. Market Indicators getting a bounce. QQQ tight range now near the highs. The setup into earnings is compelling if we can get some traction.

This week earnings season begins with the banks. Nothing really exciting otherwise this week. ASML, FAST, SOTK are the ones I see with reasonable charts but I don’t expect anything brilliant in terms of earnings moves this week. Next week is really where we’ll start to get a few interesting names and our busiest period of the Quarter arrives.
CPI & PPI this week also. The banks commentary will likely be watched closely along with the Macro.
I haven’t traded particularly well in the past week but I’m hopeful for earnings season. Remaining calm here. This week if you have down time go through the previous winners charts and refresh yourself on the patterns you are looking for. Keep an open mind into earnings and first of all follow the chart patterns. Secondary we look at the catalyst. That is always the way.
Note: I have moved fully back to Beehiiv now as my Newsletter Provider meaning the Substack chat is now closed. This was a great experiment but I had several frustrations with Substack including a huge amount of bots and attempted scams impersonating me to target subscribers. I am considering a Pro discord in the future, which would be more secure. We will see, nothing decided yet. Always interested to get feedback from people. Really enjoyed the discussion with the Chat each day.
