The Week Ahead: 10th - 14th August 2026
In Focus: Earnings, Bull Market Continuation, Macro
Trading Services I Use:
StockAnalysis.com - I’ve been using Stock Analysis as an affordable but reliable method of looking at New and Upcoming IPOs, Earnings Calendars and most notably KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Stock Analysis allows you to view the KPIs for many companies with up to date metrics and segments that you can cross reference against Earnings Results. This is incredibly important when understanding what metrics move a stock. At $65 per year it’s a no brainer. They’ve given me a discount code if you use STOCKSINPLAY they will give you another 10% Off.
Situational Awareness:
Market Condition: Bullish
Commentary: All of the indices have broken out. We are above MAs and holding well. Constructive action on lots of stocks on Friday. Difficult to be bearish here if we fail it will be clear. Focusing on individual names and I see plenty of potential in the earnings next week. We are over the busiest earnings period which is a relief but still plenty of opportunities. These last two weeks have been difficult to make the right picks due to the sheer volume of stocks moving.
Yields are still strong so we want to monitor that. VIX is at the lows and surprisingly never really made a move in this consolidation period. Dollar is falling and same for Oil.
Definitely seeing some better quality charts this week. On Monday I like MNDY (Joke intended…). KEEL worth watching as well but chart quality not as good. DJT looks really good Monday AH. SE Tuesday morning. Wednesday AH CSCO and CBRS are important for the market and there are chart setups there. I have posted my full highlights below.
Some other names that have market importance NBIS and CRWV, LITE. RKLB and ASTS. None of which have great setups for us in my opinion.
On a macro front we have some important numbers. Home sales numbers on Tuesday. CPI Wednesday will be the main macro info point and we have PPI Thursday. The market is looking for reasons for the FED to NOT raise rates in September. The jobs numbers this week were positive for that narrative. Next week remains to be seen.
For me the focus this week is sticking to process. Looking at average charts for too long can blur the senses. Going back through your chart books regularly is very important to focus in on the fact that when something is top quality it stands out like a sore thumb. The opportunities are coming. Let’s be ready.
Have a great week!
