Today’s Picks

1) Crinetics Pharmaceuticals (CRNX) - 4/5 Biotech Checklist

X-Ray CRNX: Industry Group: Biotechnology, Market Cap: 3.38B, Float: 87.07M Short Interest 16.94%, Days to Cover: 13.84, Exchange: NASDAQ

Announced FDA approval of PALSONIFY, the first once-daily, oral nonpeptide SST2 agonist for adults with acromegaly who have failed surgery or are not surgical candidates. Approval is based on two pivotal Phase 3 trials (PATHFNDR-1 & -2) demonstrating rapid, durable biochemical control (IGF-1) and significant symptom reduction. Nice chart. High Short Interest. Biotechs have been strong.

Honorable Mention:

ELBM - Microcap, Oversubscribed financing and $2.20 Upgrade. Battery stock. In theme. Not much of a catalyst but nice chart. If not today then worth adding to Delayed Reaction List and Battery Tech watchlist.

X-Ray ELBM: Industry Group: Other Industrial Metals & Mining, Market Cap: 18.86M, Float: 17.70M Short Interest 1.45%, Days to Cover: 0.44, Exchange: NASDAQ

Market Awareness

It’s Friday. If you’ve followed this newsletter you’ve probably had a fantastic week. I’m keeping it tight today. Market is down the last few days but big winners in QURE, LAC and CLPT have had my account moving sharply the opposite direction.

It does not pay to get too bearish here. We’ve had sharp sell offs in the most extended story names but this is a BULL MARKET. Letting that steam out is positive. Intend on doing some work on energy names this weekend as there seems to be setups emerging. This would be a rotation that would mimic 20/21 if it occurred. I expect plenty of oversold bounces today, whether that holds next week I don’t know but I am cautiously bullish for now.

Sources & Services I Use in my Trading:

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
