Today’s Picks

HOLO/SAVA - Two absolute story stock trading sardines. SAVA had Insider Buying yesterday which could set off a nice squeeze. HOLO had some Quantum news a few days ago and is squeezing now.

We’re at the stage of the rally where stuff is moving on nothing. These two have relatively good charts and a history of outsized moves. I will be focusing on them today to see if they can squeeze. My timeframe on both of these is short. This time in the market gets difficult for me as we are essentially seeing a lot of stocks moving on nothing.

SAVA X-Ray: Industry Group: Biotechnology, Market Cap: 112.07M, Float: 41.98M Short Interest 14.60%, Days to Cover: 7.22, Exchange: NASDAQ

HOLO X-Ray: Industry Group: Electronic Components, Market Cap: 28.51M, Float: 4.62M Short Interest 23.71%, Days to Cover: 0.44, Exchange: NASDAQ

Market Awareness

This market is relentless. Yesterday evening I did some trimming across big winners. I closed out some positions that had become tiny runners and were starting to lag. I’m still long but eased off way off the maxed out margin coming into the week. Setups are there but they’re shorter magnitude. I’m very careful about new positions here and I am going to have a shorter time frame on them unless they are A+ for more duration moves.

Lots of breakouts are occurring from shorter consolidation, these aren’t really my setup but I am still watching and entering delayed reactions.

Today I don’t see anything A+. Sometimes the best positions are the ones that you’re already in. Watching VIX today. It was perky yesterday.

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
