Stocks in Play: AMTM, KEYS, KSS

Welcome to today's Stocks in Play report. Below are the key stocks to watch, along with brief x-ray and analysis.

Market Awareness

I didn’t plan to publish this week but I think there are three nice candidates today. The negative for me is where the market is. We’re at the top of the trendline. NVDA weakness is also concerning. The AI narrative pushing toward GOOG seems simply just that. A narrative. GOOG is gapping up for a second day in a row and that’s not sustainable for $4t company.

So overall I am cautious here and noting the short week. That being said I think the names below are worth mentioning today and have swing potential. However I will be de-risking Day One if I do take any of them.

Today’s Picks

AMTM: Recent IPO, Beat on Revs and EPS. Nuclear theme, has been the subject of some pumping on socials by Citron Research (who don’t actually have that bad a record of long pitches). $47b Backlog, Revs up 78% YoY. Nuclear exposure at inflection point. FCF ramp. Positive management commentary. Nice weekly chart. Potential to have IPO breakout here. Previously announced contracts Spaceforce $4b and Sellafield $2b. Space force contract is now included in Backlog.

X-Ray AMTM: Industry Group: Specialty Business Services, Market Cap: 6.17B, Float: 196.43M Short Interest 4.96%, Days to Cover: 5.56, Exchange: NYSE

CEO prepared remarks were unequivocally bullish, emphasizing Aurora's achievement as a "transformational milestone" and noting growing customer enthusiasm (Russell Transport signed for day-one driverless operations).

CEO Chris Urmson

KSS: Potential strong turnaround catalyst in this one. Trifecta Earnings Beat. Solid beat on Revs, Huge beat on EPS and EBITDA. Important KPI Same store sales pathway to return to growth. New CEO, Positive FCF Swing, Sephora showing strong growth. Store closures flat (negative in 2024). Inventories down (swing). Nice chart, high short interest.

X-Ray KSS: Industry Group: Department Stores, Market Cap: 1.76B, Float: 107.73M Short Interest 27.19%, Days to Cover: 5.01, Exchange: NYSE

KEYS: Initially attracted to this by the chart. Beautiful weekly chart, multi-year base. Strong beat on Revs and Raised Guidance for FY2026. Revs up 10% YoY, EPS 16% YoY. KPIs Q4 Orders significant beat, ARR 30% of Total Revs. Record FCF. Revenue Acceleration growth driven by AI Data Center Infrastructure and Defence. Company returning to full year growth and accelerating.

X-Ray KEYS: Industry Group: Scientific & Technical Instruments, Market Cap: 30.53B, Float: 170.49M Short Interest 2.23%, Days to Cover: 3.44, Exchange: NYSE

"Keysight delivered an outstanding quarter and strong close to the fiscal year, returning the company to full-year growth with order momentum accelerating through the year"

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
