1) Build a Bear Workshop Inc. (BBW) (Rating: B+, Multi-Day)
Industry Group: Specialty Stores, Market Cap: 565m, Float: 12m Short Interest 14.7%, Days to Cover: 6.6, Exchange: NYSE
Catalyst: Strong Beat on EPS ($1.17 vs est. $0.87), Beat on Revs, Guidance reaffirmed. Nice chart, should get a boost this morning also from Tariff news. Guidance is inclusive of current tariffs. High Short interest with low float and a nice chart. We’re hitting the Psych $50 Pre Market. This name is a bit thin usually.
2) C3 AI. (AI) (Rating: B+, Multi-Day)
Industry Group: Technology Services, Market Cap: $2.9b, Float: 117m Short Interest 18.7%, Days to Cover: 5.6, Exchange: NYSE
Catalyst: Slight Beat on EPS (-$0.16 vs est. -$0.20), Slight Beat on Revs, Renewed and Expanded partnership with Baker Hughes, Guide essentially in line. Some Analyst upgrades this morning along with an announcement that their $100m US Air Force contract has been increased to $450m ceiling. Nice chart and this stock can really move.
Honorable Mention to:
KSS -Earnings better than feared. Guides are very wide, The main draw to this is the huge short interest (above 50%). This can really move.
VEEV - Strong earnings beat on Revs & EPS, Raised guidance. Stock is in an uptrend. Several upgrades this morning. Watching it closely today.
NVDA - Earnings were mixed but this stock is capable of running hard. So I will be watching it.
Market Awareness
Market faded somewhat from the exuberant gap up overnight on the Court ruling news last night. Wary today. I think there will be lots of Trump Bombs today and they will come out swinging this morning. Expecting volatility, but cautiously bullish.

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
