Welcome to today's Stocks in Play report. Below are the key stocks to watch, along with brief x-ray and analysis.

1) PDD Holdings (PDD) (Rating: B+, Single-Day) - SHORT
Industry Group: Internet Retail, Market Cap: 166.00B, Float: 1.36B Short Interest 1.98%, Days to Cover: 2.66, Exchange: NASDAQ
Catalyst: Really awful miss on earnings and revs. Large Miss on EPS ($1.56 vs est. $2.49), Revs $13.18b vs $14.17b. Even down $20% this morning looks like a decent short idea to me. I expect it to be punished vs other Chinese names that have reported fine.
Honorable Mention to:
DJT - Announced over the weekend that they would be raising $3b to buy Cryptocurrency. This is dilutive so should hurt the stock but we’re in a story stock market and Crypto is hot. This is in play today and likely other crypto related names.
TSLA - Musk over the weekend said that he is returning to his companies 24/7 having grown disenchanted with Politics. Despite everything negative going on with Auto and Tesla specifically this is likely enough to excite investors. Musk concentrating on Tesla will give them the belief that he can pump the stock and get ahead in Robotaxis etc.
Market Awareness
Big Gap up this morning, caution on new positions. Potential for a fade and then bounce later in the day. Nice shakeout if we do continue higher here. Normal routine, not overly concerned about any outside events. Just looking at the stocks. we are in Story Mode right now in the market. Stories are playing better than facts and figures.
Today is like a regular Monday. Not a huge news flow day so far.

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
