Yesterday In Review
Took LUCY on U&R of $1.70 yesterday. Pretty happy with the entry. Just didn’t go and eventually stopped me out. Was quite speculative, I think if it holds up the next day or so it could work as a delayed reaction. No other changes, still holding ZETA & AEVA.
Market Awareness
Like a broken record I feel like we’re still not seeing the strong setups and follow through on those. There is strength but most of those broke out last Friday without catalysts and are on Day 3 or 4 or have faded. I’m currently grinding my account up very slowly which is no fun but has to be done to be prepared for the big opportunities. VIX is edging higher and I feel like Trump is on one at the moment with the Tweets. Gives me caution for market whipsaw. Market monitor is showing positive.

Today’s Picks
APLD: Strong earnings Beat. Revs up 250% YoY, Beating estimates by 41%. Narrowed losses dramatically, Achieved adjusted net income, Adjusted Net Income positive, Operating leverage inflection. Hyperscaler contracts expected in 2026. I thought this would have a bigger stock price reaction today but it’s quite muted. Chart is pretty good. Will be watching it for sure. AI Theme.
X-Ray APLD: Industry Group: Information Technology Services, Market Cap: 8.26B, Float: 229.76M Short Interest 34.25%, Days to Cover: 2.62, Exchange: NASDAQ
FLYX: Low float story stock, Has become a Starlink approved dealer and installer for private luxury jets. They are kitting out their own fleet but also immediately offering the service to third parties to install on other jets. Story stock. Good price action pre market. Speculative and likely very volatile. Chart is flat base. Previous resistance at $7.
X-Ray FLYX: Industry Group: Airlines, Market Cap: 253.36M, Float: 5.68M Short Interest 4.20%, Days to Cover: 11.54, Exchange: AMEX

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
