1) Affirm Holdings (AFRM) (Rating: B+, Multi-Day)
X-Ray AFRM: Industry Group: Software - Infrastructure, Market Cap: 25.80B, Float: 268.62M Short Interest 6.74%, Days to Cover: 3.09, Exchange: NASDAQ
Huge Beat on EPS (+$0.20 vs est. $0.10), Solid Beat on Revs (Up 30% YoY), Swing to Op Inc. Profitability for the first time. GMV up 43% YoY, AUs up 24%, Raised Guide. Not neglected but nice rising IPO base and plenty of potential to B/O to ATH in the coming days and weeks. Usually a good mover.
2) Autodesk (ADSK) (Rating: B+, Multi-Day)
X-Ray ADSK: Industry Group: Software - Application, Market Cap: 61.72B, Float: 213.21M Short Interest 1.50%, Days to Cover: 2.02, Exchange: NASDAQ
Solid beat on EPS ($2.62 vs est. $2.45), Beat on Revs, Strong growth on Billings (36% YoY), Revs and Billings Accelerating, RPOs up 24% YoY, cRPOs ip 20% YoY. Massive FCF. Very strong growth from this institutional name and another bellwether for the Software is Dead narrative turn around. Long base since 2021. Poised for a solid B/O here.
Honorable Mention to:
NXE: Announced promising drill results from its 2025 summer program at Patterson Corridor East—a key zone within its Rook I project. Off-scale (>61 k cps) intercepts in new holes are materially better than expected step-outs. Framed PCE as a real-time, generational discovery with the potential to position Canada as a leading global uranium supplier. Nuclear/Uranium stocks have been moving. This has good potential. High Short Interest & Days to Cover
X-Ray NXE: Industry Group: Uranium, Market Cap: 4.25B, Float: 531.09M Short Interest 19.14%, Days to Cover: 12.12, Exchange: NYSE
Market Awareness
Final trading day of the month. Expect some weird moves in stocks and an overall Low volume day. Potential to see some selling next week as Wall St. returns from their Vacations. Short week next week due to Labor Day. Markets Closed on Monday. I’m probably going to try trim some strength today.
Slightly cautious about September seasonality as we’ve had a fantastic Summer trading season. Overall though Bullish and we’re consistently seeing new themes and rotations emerging. Such as Software right now looking like it’s being rotated into.
Have a Great weekend everyone!

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
