I use Benzinga Pro (Essential) for 90% of my research each day. I have recently subscribed to a LIFETIME subscription for $1650. This is incredible value. If this is something you’d be interested in then shoot me an email ([email protected]) and I’ll put you in touch with the Rep to receive the agreed price. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
1) Echostar Corporation (SATS) (Rating: B+, Multi-Day)
X-Ray SATS: Industry Group: Telecom Services, Market Cap: 8.60B, Float: 132.72M Short Interest 11.84%, Days to Cover: 4.39, Exchange: NASDAQ
Sold a large section of their business to AT&T for $23b. Transformational sale for the company, allows deleveraging and concentration of segments. Huge windfall. Similar to COMM a few weeks ago. $50.50 is ATH. Looking for it to move above that with reasonable short interest.
Honorable Mention to:
ALLR: FDA has granted Fast Track designation to stenoparib, its dual PARP and WNT pathway inhibitor, for treatment of advanced ovarian cancer. Nice daily chart. Very likely to raise off the back of this but stock has potential to run. Resistance at $2, above that next is $4.
X-Ray ALLR: Industry Group: Biotechnology, Market Cap: 13.76M, Float: 11.17M Short Interest 5.08%, Days to Cover: 1.29, Exchange: NASDAQ
Market Awareness
The big narrative last night was Trump firing FED Cooke, The market seems to be shrugging this off so far with a flat open looking likely but this may trigger some selling narrative today. Yesterday was a weak day in the indexes but not surprising after Friday’s outsized move.
I’m concentrating on individual names but like a broken record I will be monitoring VIX for any intraday spikes to guide me on potential weakness kicking in further. I’m seeing good follow through on the small cap names I’m in so I will continue as normal until that changes. Several delayed reaction pullback setups fired yesterday. Let’s see if they can continue today.

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
