Market Condition: Index All Time Highs, Narrow Market. Difficult.

Commentary: Gap down this morning. VIX rising. Seeing a lot of squatting action at the moment. Strong breakouts getting sold into. Not a lot of catalysts occurring. Difficult environment despite all time highs. Very narrow market and short churns. I have been managing some breakouts on hourly time frame in order to avoid needless losses. I am still waiting for earnings season to give us a real opportunity to hit hard. Everything in between is just keeping us busy.

It will be a real tell if the market can rally off the gap fill this morning or not. FOMC minutes this afternoon. Likely to not contain many surprises but expect a choppy day.

I don't see any catalysts I'm excited about. PENG was one I was looking forward to last night. The earnings were strong but I don't think the chart setup and the market conditions warrant it. U Partnership with GOOG is a decent PR but there are no numbers going along with it. The U chart is definitely lining up for an advance so is one to add to a watchlist for upcoming earnings I think.

Focusing on managing existing positions. PLTR tight technical setup but again market conditions don’t look prudent for adding more risk right now.

XBI -3.8% on the week and -7.9% on the month, under its 50-day. The sector tailwind is gone for now. Reactions have to prove themselves.
