Stocks in Play - 10th August 2026
Today in Focus: ABCL
Trading Services I Use:
StockAnalysis.com - I’ve been using Stock Analysis as an affordable but reliable method of looking at New and Upcoming IPOs, Earnings Calendars and most notably KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Stock Analysis allows you to view the KPIs for many companies with up to date metrics and segments that you can cross reference against Earnings Results. This is incredibly important when understanding what metrics move a stock. At $65 per year it’s a no brainer. They’ve given me a discount code if you use STOCKSINPLAY they will give you another 10% Off.
Situational Awareness:
Market Condition: Bullish, Flat Open
Commentary:
If the market continues to look like this then really I’m just focused on setups now. We have potential for good follow through and leaders to emerge. We can put the indices in the back seat. We don’t need to obsess with every gyration or get FOMO when the index has a strong day. This is a bull market, until it’s not.
Usual Monday morning. Not a ton of News flow. For whatever reason Monday’s are generally a bit sleepy for catalysts. My favorite today is a Biotech. ABCL outlined below is my focus.
SLN (Positive Phase 2 Data) and ACHR (Partnership with BA) are the other biggest headlines today. SLN has run a lot so expecting early profit taking. The data looks strong but my Biotech Sentiment Indicator is mixed on it. ACHR is quite dilutive (20% of Mkt Cap). Chart also lets it down. You can boil it down to a simple over $7 is good and below $7 is bad on ACHR.
In Play:
ABCL: Positive Phase 2 Data for VMS/Hot Flashes in Menopause

Catalyst:
Excellent weekly chart, high short interest. Strong catalyst data. Company has plenty of cash.
AbCellera reported positive top-line Phase 2 results from the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled portion of its Phase 1/2 trial (NCT07118891) of ABCL635, a subcutaneous NK3R antagonist antibody for moderate-to-severe vasomotor symptoms (VMS/hot flashes) due to menopause. The study enrolled 92 postmenopausal women (mean ~10 moderate-to-severe VMS/day), randomized 1:1 to a single 600 mg SC dose of ABCL635 (n=46) or placebo (n=46). Primary endpoints at week 4 were met with high statistical significance (p<0.001 for both).
“Best-in-class reductions in both frequency and severity”
“New efficacy benchmark for the reduction of hot flashes”
“Potential best-in-class vasomotor symptom relief”
“Significant milestone for women’s health and for AbCellera”
“Markedly improve their quality of life”
