Market Condition: Market Poised for Range Expansion

Commentary: Market seems to be poised for a range expansion. I am inclined to think to the upside. Big Bank earnings are really good and they have been bullish on economy.

Now we need the setups to follow. AEHR as outline below is the main watch today. A secondary watch I’ve just flagged as I finish up is ELVA which has announced a commercial agreement with Amazon plus a warrant purchase. No time for a full write up on it.

AEHR: Blow Out Forward Guidance

Key Metrics AEHR:

Industry Group: Semiconductor Equipment & Materials, Market Cap: 2.26B, Float: 29.69, Short Interest: 14.03%, Days to Cover: 1.68, Earnings: 7/14/2026 4:30:00 PM, Exchange: Nasdaq

Catalyst:

Slight miss on Revs, Strong Beat on EPS, GMs up sharply. 3.2x Book to Bill, $100m Backlog. FY2027 Guidance massive raise. Guiding for 160/200% YoY Revs. Management bullish remarks.

The only issue with this is the chart is not perfect and for me that’s generally a major issue. I think the results are episodic pivot level. Guidance is a big surprise to the market. Perfect $2b (low market cap).

Looking at the chart history of the stock is has made moves out of imperfect charts before (like January 2023 Earnings) so I’m inclined to still try it. This stock has a characteristic of faking out early at the open. Not a guarantee but something I have observed with it in the past.

Pre market price action is really good.

Market Condition: Market Bounce, Rangebound

Commentary: This is what a rangebound market does. Whips people all over the place. Especially those that chase a rally without a catalyst thinking the market is about to leg-up. Only to get smashed next morning. CPI came in cooler than expected.

This morning is interesting to say the least. IBM delivered a hammer blow to software stocks with an unusual profit warning pre-announcement. Essentially they’re saying that companies shifted their CAPEX to memory and infra near the end of quarter and this cause IBM to miss their targets. If this is true then it’s basically a deferment but regardless the stock is being heavily punished. I think IGV is a solid swing short idea based on this miss. IBM also but -20% is already a massive one day move for it. Likely better on a delayed reaction move. If software names can shake off this drop then it will be quite bullish for them.

NXTC similar to VEEE yesterday is a reverse merger. This time it’s a Biotech going public. The company seems legit and the team involved were AKRO from it’s pre-IPO to $5b sale to Novo Nordisk. Tons of volume already. Looks like it has potential to be the mover of the day.

HCA a Healthcare Company also had a poor miss on guidance this morning. The chart is set up very well for a short swing.

Still nothing out there of higher quality at the moment. Hence I’m not doing full write ups on individual names right now.

Patience, patience, patience.

Market Condition: Gap Down, Caution

Commentary: Quiet Monday morning for individual names. We’ve got the Iran narrative weighing us down this morning and memory names selling off in Korea overnight despite strong release from TSM.

I don’t see any catalysts of note today. There are some biotechs moving on substandard catalysts in the pre market but that’s about it. AGEN is trading the best on an oversubscribed Private Placement. This is heavily dilutive but it’s got huge volume and high short interest. Maybe it’s seen as a turnaround moment for the company it’s difficult to analyze but Price and Volume say it’s probably your active stock of the day.

Monitoring the VIX as always to see if the selling ramps but I won’t be surprised to see us go Red to Green by the end of the day. Monday’s are usually days to avoid mines and today is no different! Less is more.

Market Condition: Constructive, Bullish Leaning

Commentary: Earnings season kicks off this coming week with the bank stocks reporting. There isn’t a huge amount of tradeable earnings for us this week but the banks always set the tone. We also have some important Semiconductor names reporting in ASML and TSM. NFLX, as usual, will also be the first big tech/communications name to report.

The names with the best charts - ANGO, SIFY, KARO are illiquid so unless they do something special in earnings it’s unlikely they’ll be tradeable but I’ve highlighted them just in case.

While I don’t focus on Macro it is a big week. US CPI Data will be released on Tuesday morning before the open and FED Chair Warsh will also testify in the House and Senate on Tuesday and Wednesday. Finally we also have PPI on Wednesday.

The plan for the week is to be patient, the market is holding well and we are in a bull market so I remain optimistic that earnings season will bring us fantastic opportunities. Don’t use mental capital on substandard trades. Wait for quality catalysts.

Market Condition: QQQ Back above all MAs, Short Term Bullish

Commentary:

Quiet morning this morning. Not a surprise considering how busy next week is going to be on a Macro & Micro level. I don’t see anything today that excites me. WDFC had good earnings but it’s too illiquid. CRCL is moving on bank approval news (which is not a surprise to the market) but the chart isn’t right. It feels like a day to sit tight and see what happens with existing positions for now. I remain excited for earnings opportunities in the coming weeks.

SKHY (SK hynix) will IPO today. Let’s see if the market reacts differently to it than it did with SPCX. For those that don’t know this is a major Memory stock that is listing on US Exchange. It is already listed in Korea. Last time I read it was 8 times oversubscribed. This is a good sign for another big IPO.

Over the weekend I intend on making the move to Substack. Hopefully this will be seamless! No action is needed on the subscriber end. A nice feature on their platform is the Subscriber chat function. This is a great compromise between a one way newsletter and a discord type group which I am reluctant to do. I hope to be able to give more clarity on entries, answer questions and also point on stocks that I may have missed on the Newsletter. Feel free to join the discussion below.

Market Condition: QQQ Testing underside of 10/20EMA, Short Term Bullish

Commentary:

Nice bounce yesterday. However we really are still just in a larger range. We might just rally to new highs from here but I personally think (and hope) that the good setups come to us in the form of earnings or catalysts rather than just a melt up.

I see people still chasing SNDK, MU etc. and while they might work they have had historic runs. I want to see ‘‘new’’ merchandise and those usually become apparent during earnings season.

Patience still required. I think we will be rewarded at earnings season.

Below I have posted a potential earnings turnaround play in SMPL. I don’t see any other super catalysts today that are coupled with good charts. VRAX a microcap looks like the pump of the day. High Octane stock so trade with caution if going there. Disclosure - I bought it Pre-Market at $7.50.

SMPL: Turnaround Earnings Play

Key Metrics SMPL: Industry Group: Packaged Foods, Market Cap: 1.36B, Float: 82.22, Short Interest: 7.89%, Days to Cover: 2.26, Earnings: 7/9/2026 8:30:00 AM, Exchange: NCM

Catalyst:

This is not a 5* Turn Around by any means. The chart is solid. The price action is solid and the management commentary is indicating the turnaround. But the numbers are not blow out.

CEO Scalzo: results reflect "initial steps against the turnaround priorities," seeing "signs of improved alignment," performance "ahead of our expectations."

Beat on Revs, Raised Revs Guidance, Miss on Gross Margins, Raised EBITDA Guide. This is certainly a better than feared report. Consolidating around $15 Pre Market. Above $15 is good, below it is bad! Needs volume to come in during market hours.

Market Condition: QQQ Below 50MA, 10 EMA below 20EMA. VIX Rising

Commentary: There is nothing happening right now to suggest that buying is warranted. Especially in tech stocks. The QQQ is -

10EMA Below 20EMA and Sloping Down

Add to that the VIX is rising. The SPY and the DIA held up but likely to see similar correction. When the VIX is strong it’s better to do nothing or focus on leveraged ETFs like TQQQ or SOXL for a bounce. My threshold is pretty high to be looking to get long ETFs so I’d want an extreme. We’re not near that. For now it’s time for those who specialise in rangebound price action.

There is Iran commentary today. I still don’t think we go back to full conflict here. More likely Trump walks back his comments.

PENG earnings last night were really good with Large beats across the board and raised guidance but the reaction was lackluster and the market conditions don’t support it. Maybe if we bounce hard it can come into play. Add it to watchlist though for a delayed move.

Commentary: Nothing happening today in the world of Catalysts. My newsletter might be boring for a few weeks until earnings kicks off but that is the reality of trading. There isn’t going to be a play every day. The market is directionless. Neither shorts or longs are working well.

Go and sharpen your tools. Work on charts. Do a deep dive.

One thing worth watching in the next 24hrs is VERA a biotech that has a big FDA Decision coming up probably today or tomorrow. When it hits the stock is likely to make a big move. No trade yet. Just one to watchlist.

Market Condition: Choppy Rangebound Market. Be Patient.

Commentary: Market gapping up, burning those that piled in short on Thursday. This is how they do it to chop everyone up. Less is more as we make our way into earnings season. I think there will be plenty of opportunities to those who don’t burn themselves out chasing shadows! (I know, because in June that’s what I did!!).

Minimal amount of Earnings candidates this week though PENG on Tuesday evening has potential as it’s an AI play that has flagged out. I've highlighted a few more below but just out of process more than anything. Lot’s of strength in Biotech and a lot of good looking charts with catalysts coming up, as always will wait until catalysts hit to act.

In terms of Macro. A few things this week. ISM Services today, FED minutes on Wednesday and Home Sales on Thursday. Iran is old news so I’m ignoring any headlines on that front just focusing on the stocks.

Cautious today, in no rush to chase any names.

In Play

WULF: 20 Year Lease Agreement with Anthropic

Key Metrics WULF: Industry Group: Capital Markets, Market Cap: 12.13B, Float: 342.70, Short Interest: 31.71%, Days to Cover: 3.56, Earnings: 5/8/2026 8:30:00 AM, Exchange: NCM

Catalyst:

Executed a 20-year lease with Anthropic at its Justified Data campus (Hawesville, KY), stated to generate ~$19B of contracted revenue over the initial term; separately signed a definitive agreement to sell its 50.1% Abernathy JV stake to a Fluidstack-led investor group, monetizing a ~$450M investment "at a premium."

Chart was breaking down last week so this is a nice reversal. Above $25 is good, below it is bad. That is how I will look at this today. Worth nothing that this stock is a popular one amongst some of the well known retail newsletters such as Citrini.

Genuine catalyst with Dollar figures with a Top Tier named partner.

SEER: Activist Investor Battle + AI Biotech Theme

Key Metrics SEER: Industry Group: Biotechnology, Market Cap: 118.37M, Float: 36.19, Short Interest: 0.53%, Days to Cover: 0.41, Earnings: 5/13/2026 4:30:00 PM, Exchange: NMS

Catalyst:

Failed Life sciences company that is now involved in an activist investor battle. Basically there is an Activist that is trying to buy the company for $2.45 and the current CEO who is trying to do the same for $2.95. Stock has $90m Market Cap (before today) but is holding over $220m in cash so it’s trading more than 50% below NAV.

The board released a presentation today saying that they were focusing on Biotech AI (Theme) and the activist immediately hit back. This is all story and it seems like this is just a battle. Usually I avoid M&A but this has some potential to move today. Likely to be a one or two day play only if it can go.

Commentary: We’ve had some strong days up. Breakouts and Catalysts are working. I don’t see a lot today and it’s no surprise that the market will begin to wind down into the long weekend (market is closed Friday for Independence Day).

META moving on Cloud Business but if anything that seems somewhat bearish (means they’ve overspent and have excess compute lying around). The chart doesn’t look particularly good. I see it as a fade if anything but I’m not interested.

Watching CCXI for a parabolic short.

No plans for any other trades. First day of a new month. No need to rush in.

Commentary: Market gapping up. I’m still cautious here. We’re still living below the 10/20EMA which is just about to cross and are sloping down.

Today I see three Story plays that are worth looking at NNBR announcing multi year product awards for parts that go into NVDA AI Data Center racks. (In the food chain, not direct connection to NVDA) and CHTR which has held talks with SPCX for a potential Mobile partnership. I don’t see anything strong than these today. CHTR chart is bad but it has high short interest. SRFM have (once again) released a PR about their PLTR partnership.

None of these overly excite me hence I’m not doing a full write up on them but for sure have potential to work and I will be watching them.

Short week this week. These are generally choppier and bereft of meaningful catalysts.

Commentary: The chop continues. Less is more.

Go and enjoy the weekend or do some deep dive work. I am currently working on my entries. Going back through several years of earnings and catalysts looking at pre-market and market opens on the 5 minute chart and adding them to my database. This review work is better use of my time than clicking buttons on trades…You should be thinking similarly.

We have several negative headlines out over the past 24 hours on the AI front. OpenAI looking to delay IPO until 2027 is the biggest one along with US Gov looking for them to stagger releases of their new models. This government oversight could put a dampener on the spending mood. It may take some time for this to resolve.

Commentary: And Just like that we are back above the 10/20. Large gap up. Mixed participation in stocks from what I can see. MU earnings were obviously incredible and guidance was huge but after a massive run it’s not that big a shock to the market. I got long MU last night after hours as it gave an opportunity but it’s for shorter duration and I’m more cautious here this morning.

Wait to see what the market does and if the rest of the sector participates. Could easily get another fade here considering the volatility. I don’t see any other catalysts this morning that fit my criteria in terms of chart, price action and catalyst.

The market is wide and loose right now. Patience is key no chasing required.

Market Condition: QQQ Below MAs

Commentary: QQQ is below the 10 and 20EMA here. They’re sloping down but haven’t crossed (yet). Simply put this is not where you want to be getting aggressive. MU Earnings tonight will almost certainly be blowout but the reaction will tell a lot. We may be at a point where nothing is good enough.

I am completely paused on taking any delayed reaction, continuation or breakout trades. I will only take direct catalysts and I will be conservative on size until I see some proper follow through.

I don’t mind saying that since the beginning of June I’ve gotten loose with a lot of trades outside my wheelhouse. The old saying of biggest losses coming after biggest wins is appropriate. Back to basics. Focusing on Day 1 catalysts or no trading. When the best opportunities come up they will be blatantly obvious. If we start to live below the 20EMA then I don’t want to be in the market.

FCEL & RUN are the most straight forward picks below. SPAC Merger is interesting CCXI will take Agility Robotics public. Looks like they have revenues and are a real company. Never sure how these SPACs will actually trade but it has good volume this morning and potential to run and likely one to add to your IPO list.

FuelCell Energy and Fit Energy USA LP signed a strategic agreement for up to 380 MW of on-site fuel-cell power for data centers, with an immediate deposit on a firm initial 30 MW slated to begin delivery in 2026.

Weekly Flag. Has potential to move. Market conditions may hold it back. $25 is my key number to watch.

Catalyst:

Sunrun, Renew Home, and Tesla announced an agreement to jointly market 16.8 GW of "flexible capacity" to hyperscalers and utilities for data-center demand. Hyperscalers are "encouraged to engage immediately, as available capacity will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

RUN have had a deal with Tesla since 2024. This is a reframing explicit to Data-Center and Hyperscalers. High Short interest, reasonable chart. Tesla effect may be enough to move it. Likely magnitude vs duration move. $15 is my key number to watch.

Market Condition: Bullish, Lots of Setups forming

Commentary: Overall the market looks bullish. Difficult to see it any other way. Lot’s of great looking charts developing. For catalysts I’ve found June to be difficult but it’s important to stay the course and wait for the catalysts to come and the great setups to hit.

DFTX is my main pick today as outlined below.

In terms of technical setups I’m looking at KEEL and QTEX (which has a insider buy secondary catalyst today).

Also watching GETY for their OpenAI partnership. Potential for a short squeeze, magnitude move not duration (likely one day wonder if it does make a move). Pre market price action is sluggish but volume is there.

Positive topline results from Emerge, the first of two pivotal Phase 3 trials of DT120 ODT (lysergide/LSD tartrate, 100 µg single dose) in major depressive disorder. The study met its primary endpoint: an 8.1-point placebo-adjusted MADRS reduction at Week 6 (−13.3 DT120 vs. −5.2 placebo, p<0.0001).

Stock is in a strong uptrend so definitely not neglected but it has a solid daily chart setup. Psychedelics is a definite Biotech theme. Strong results. Ticks all the boxes.

Market Condition: Bullish Gap Up

Commentary: Very strong gap up today. Surprised to see it. Of course this morning I was late starting my pre-market work and we’ve had the most PR I’ve seen in ages. So keeping the newsletter short today as I don’t have time for write ups.

This morning I’m watching QTEX, HIVE, INTC, UUUU

All have had PR this morning. INTC I will say that the Apple news is not new and it’s basically just because Trump tweeted it. That being said it may be enough to get it moving. Chart looks great and it’s shown tremendous RS. UUUU has the worst chart. HIVE and QTEX are more secondary/continuations in terms of PR.

I am also watching some continuation setups that I’ve posted below from my Stocks in Play watchlist.

Market Condition: Cautious into Binary Event

Commentary: Some profit taking occurred yesterday. This shouldn’t be a surprise. We saw lot’s of names knock on resistance and reject. Today is FOMC Decision. It’s FED Warsh’s first meeting as Chair. I think it’s important. Not the decision but more so the tone and the commentary. I still believe we probably need some time in a range here for stocks to set up properly and for my style of trading of course we need catalysts.

Cautious today until after the meeting. Not looking to enter delayed reactions. Low market exposure overall. Base hits for now. Not looking to go for the jugular.

QURE: BLA Submission for Huntington’s Disease Treatment

Key Metrics QURE: Industry Group: Biotechnology, Market Cap: 2.93B, Float: 56.57M, Short Interest: 19.62%, Days to Cover: 6.36, Sales Y/Y TTM: -10.44%, EPS Y/Y TTM: 19.99%, Earnings: May 05 BMO, Exchange: NASDAQ

Catalyst:

Complicated Biotech story. QURE exploded upward last year on positive data for treatment of Huntington’s disease. We traded this at the time and I felt it was 5* +++. Unfortunately the FDA head at the time had other ideas and rejected the data which caused the stock to collapse a few weeks later.

Now we’re back the old and controversial FDA head is gone and the FDA have done a U-Turn and allowed QURE to submit for FDA Approval. This is a major pivot. Normally I wouldn’t be interested in BLA Submission but I think this can have legs. Large short interest. CLPT is a proxy (their tech is the delivery method for the drug).

It’s a biotech so caution advised and likely some early profit taking but these are the two names I’ll be looking at today.

Market Condition: Bullish

Commentary: Relatively muted but green open. Glad to not see another big gap up. Tomorrow we have the FED Decision. That is the natural position to shake people out, start a period of chop or alternatively lock people out with a strong move upward if Warsh decides to go full dovish.

Don’t be surprised to see some choppiness kicking in here in the market today. Patience is important here. We can easily resolve to a choppy market here. Wait for catalysts and good buy points to steadily build out exposure. Tempting to try to get in heavy long after such a move in the QQQ but be patient.

SPCX has rallied hard since IPO. Options are trading for it today along with Leveraged ETFs. I think it’s potentially going to squeeze and should be watched as a bellwether. Not a setup for me but it’s likely going to be a market leading indicator for a while. PLTR was like this previously.

RXT: Signed definitive Agreement with AMD to deploy 30MW of AMD Compute

Key Metrics RXT: Industry Group: Software - Infrastructure, Market Cap: 1.85B, Float: 96.35M, Short Interest: 15.93%, Days to Cover: 0.78, Sales Y/Y TTM: -0.49%, EPS Y/Y TTM: 52.70%, Earnings: May 07 BMO, Exchange: NASDAQ

Catalyst:

This is essentially the validation and operationalization of a previously announced MOU with AMD. RXT is a turnaround and a structural pivot into Governed/Sovereign AI Infrastructure. This is the differentiator that RXT are going for vs commoditized rentable infra provided by hyperscalers. RXT are essentially the customer in this deal but AMD are aligned with them and this seems to me to be more than just a total story.

I have concerns that they may use this price advance to do a stock offering. The company is heavily in debt but on the positive side have managed well and are FCF positive now. There is room for additional catalysts here if RXT get named customers on board to fund the build out. Strong continuation chart, high short interest.
